Take the chill off the long, dark winter nights with this merry-cholic potpourri of Yuletide moments. This holiday 2-CD set contains 20 previously-unreleased tracks recorded exclusively for this compilation as well as three tracks only available on obscure compilations. It's an artfully-wrapped holiday treat direct from your favorite Projekt artists with some well-chosen guests.

Over at Projekt, Dark Wave never died. It has been joined by other sub-genres, such as shoegaze and steam punk, but die? Never!
Projekt pioneered Dark Wave Christmas music. In 1995, they released the compilation that set Christmas music on its ear, "Excelsis: A Dark Noel". A few years later, they followed with "Excelsis 2: A Winter's Song". A years beyond that, Projekt released "Excelsis 3: A Prelude" (and a box set, and a "best of"). And, as recently as 2004, they released a pair of limited edition CD holiday singles, "Holiday Single 1" and "Holiday Single 2". It would appear the label has gone--pardon the expression--dark for the holidays after that. But they are back in a big way, this year, with a new Xmas album from Diva of Darkness Jill Tracy and this new collection.
"Ornamental" will contain one whole disc of reimagined interpretations of Christmas and winter classics AND one whole disc of all new original material. That's right! "Ornamental" is a 2-CD set of goth, steampunk, dark cabaret, shoegaze, dreampop, and a bunch of other genre words you've never heard before!
The cast list includes Jill Tracy, Abney Park,Paulina Cassidy, LoveSpirals and, with their first new recording since 2009, the legendary Black Tape For A Blue Girl. Each disc closes out with an extended (some would say ambient) soundscape. 20 totally new tracks recorded especially for this compilation as well as three tracks only available on other very obscure discs elsewhere. In short, as the literature assures us, "Ornamental" is designed to"take the chill off the long, dark winter nights with this merry-cholic potpourri of Yuletide moments."
For a limited time, you can both Jill Tracy's Christmas disc together with "Ornamental" direct from Projekt for the Holiday Twin Pack price of just $19.98. Now what Dark Wave enthusiast could say no to that?
