We've been revisiting some of our favorite records from last year and Jessie Kol's "Little Emmanuel" EP ranks right around the top of that list. A young Jazz singer with astounding and fresh arrangements and dazzling vocal performances--what's not to like? Well, Jessie's Christmas set did have one flaw. It was far too brief. There was nothing left to do but listen to her songs over and over and over again to make up for that. And I did. And, you know what? It sounded every bit as wonderful on the hundredth listen as it did on the first. That's how you know it's a Christmas record worth owning and one that you'll be enjoying long after this holiday season ends. Read our full review here and, if you haven't already gotten a copy, stop by Jessie Kol's web site and get your order in. Unless I'm very much mistaken, you can even pick up a free download of "In The Bleak Midwinter" while you're there.
I love Christmas, music, and cats. What more do you need to know?
