Man, when the Christmas blogs become police blotters, the world is in a sorry state.
Anyway, the important thing is that it was all untrue. While it was going on, of course, Cliff wasn't recording. But now he's back in the studio readying another Christmas album. The album is said to be Rock N Roll-ish, going for the sound of an earlier Cliff Richard. And the BBC has promised that they won't ban the record from their airwaves, in spite of the law suit. Don't have any more details yet, but you'll know when I do.
I have no idea how many albums Cliff has recorded, nor how many of those were holiday-centric. Honestly, there aren't enough hours in the day to go through his entire discography. But there was a time, there, when Cliff was putting out a Christmas single pretty much every year. I think everybody is by now quite familiar with "Mistletoe & Wine", but my favorite has always been "Little Town". Love this song. Always gets a spin at the Stubby household at Christmas.
I'd give you a couple more coming attractions today, but, to be fair to the other artists ('cause who wants to follow the police blotter), I'll save them for now. Check back tomorrow, OK?
