One of the Christmas obsessives yule meet in "Jingle Bell Rocks!" (see below) is Andy Cirzan. Cirzan, aka DJ Lo-Fi, is known the world over for his holiday mixtapes which routinely feature obscurities even the most seasoned veterans of the art form have never heard. While only a small handful receive Andy's disc each year, we all get to share in the mirth. Andy makes his mix, then appears annually on Chicago Public Radio station WBEZ to share the songs and stories behind them on Sound Opinions. Then both the radio show and Andy's mix are posted for free download. Its the grand cycle of life, yo. If I'm not mistaken, "Kringle's Jingles" is Andy's 24th visit into the world of holiday obscura. Andy's creations are only available through January 1 and then they disappear, never to be posted again.
