You can actually download the full album at Bandcamp between now and November 1, for the special pre-release price of $5. But just in case you need another taste to get into the spirit, Smalltown Poets have also released a preview track which you can download free through Noisetrade.
And what a great track it is, too. When the group had just a handful of tracks up for preview, "St. Nick Is Alright" is the one that charmed my socks off. It's got the bounce and hook of mid 60s pop mixed with the cleverness of REM at their prime. Ironically, REM is calling it quits this year. But the Smalltown Poets are back! They've even managed somehow to work an old fashioned Salvation Army type band into "St. Nick Is Alright". How cool is that? I love this song and I think you will too. Get it free at Noisetrade.
