Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band are an Indiana trio specializing in country blues (their latest, "Peyton on Patton", is a tribute to old time Blues great Charlie Patton). Reverend Peyton plays the guitar, his wife Breezy handles the washboard, and Aaron "Cuz" Persinger is the drummer for the unconventional outfit. They're always knocking 'em dead with their live shows (over 250 dates a year) and their records are pretty popular as well.
Lasy year, Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band wrote and recorded a Christmas song to reflect these troubled times. "Plasma For Christmas" is just what you'd expect, subject wise. How else you gonna raise money to buy Christmas presents? But musically, the song's definitely a bit of a stroll off the beaten path. It has a bit of a stripped down Canned Heat feel to it, I think. And you know you want it for your mixtapes. So grab it while you still can using the widget above (remember it's from last year and could go away at any time) and stop by the Big Damn Band web site and say "howdy" sometime.
