Not necessarily one of my favorites last year, "Hey It's Christmas, Vol. 1" was nonetheless a solid collection of Indie Rock and Pop from Orlando area artists.  The best on this year's collection are better while some of the lesser tunes are, well, lesser.  Among the best, Joshua Pearson's "Celebration!", "Ol' Winter Song" from Kyle Cox, and The Oceanauts "Wonderful Christmastime".  Greg Perkins brings the same good-bad-and-the-ugly-meets-the-Outer-Limits style to "O Come, O Come Emmanuel" as he did last year to "What Child Is This"; if that's his usual approach, I kinda dig it.  Moon In The Morning provide a nice Indie Pop almost round-like "Hearts Are Warm (It's Christmas)".  Some other tracks ("Little Drummer Boy", "Jeanette Isabella", "Masters In This Hall") start well, but fizzle.  The 7 minute "Silent Night" was great the first time I heard it, but seemed overly long on the second go around.  Still, you can't argue with the price.  This is free through Bandcamp, as is Volume 1.
