A mere 17 years old, Amanda Lamb hails from Southern California (Oh, I wish they all could be California girls). Amanda's been singing out since she was 5 and began writing songs in her early teens. Her first full-length album, "Highwire", arrived earlier this year. I'm pleased to see Amanda's music is more Taylor Swift-meets-Indie Pop than it is Radio Disney (I happen to like the Disney Pop, but, let's be honest, it's got a microscopic shelf life). One word that's been used to describe Amanda's music is "shimmering" and that's a fitting description, I think.
Last year, Amanda released her first Christmas single,"Christmas In Love". For 2011, she has re-recorded and re-mixed it and, for the moment, you can download the 2011 version free at Bandcamp.
